Air Force women's basketball is on a two-game win streak against the Aztecs
AIR FORCE at SAN DIEGO STATE: Air Force hits the road to take on San Diego State, at 1 p.m. PT, Sat., Jan. 12, on Steve Fisher Court at Viejas Arena (12,414). The Falcons are coming in hot off a win over Colorado State, while the Aztecs (5-8, 0-2 MWC) are on a four-game losing-streak with its most recent loss coming to the Cowgirls in Wyoming.
THE SERIES: The Falcons and Aztecs will be meeting for the 46th time in program history with San Diego State leading the all-time series, 36-9. The Falcons are on a two-game win-streak against the Aztecs that originated in last season's sweep.

UP NEXT: The Falcons travel to Las Vegas to take on UNLV in the in the fifth MWC contest of the season. The Falcons and Rebels will be tipping off at high noon (PT), Wednesday, Jan. 16, in Cox Pavilion (2,500). UNLV will be riding high as they just ended the MWC front-running New Mexico Lobos win-streak with a 66-57 win in Las Vegas.
LAST TIME OUT: Air Force led Colorado State (7-7, 1-2 MWC) in scoring for over 37-minutes to beat the Rams, 63-48, snapping a six-game losing streak on the season and a 13-game losing streak to Colorado State dating back to 2011. Sophomore guard Emily Conroe led the way with 22 points to improve the Falcons' overall record to 5-9, while adding their first MWC win of the season.
Conroe's 22 points marked a season-high scoring performance while she also led the game with nine rebounds. Freshman forward Riley Snyder drained four three-pointers, tallied 18 points and collected seven rebounds on the game. Snyder and Conroe were both perfect from the free throw line. Sophomore co-team captain, Kaelin Immel, scored 11 points and collected eight rebounds for the second most on the floor.
Air Force out-rebounded the Rams, 44-33, and had one less turnover (16-17). The Air Force bench combined for eight points while the team shot 86.7 percent (13-15) from the free throw line.
A LOOK AT AIR FORCE: The Falcons have been in a shooting rut as of late, albeit they hit the shots they needed in order to beat Colorado State in the most recent contest. Air Force's key shooters, Kaelin Immel, Riley Snyder, and Emily Conroe, showed signs of getting out of the shooting doldrums as the trio combined for 51 points against CSU while shooting .326 from the field-- a mark higher than the team's field goal percentage in seven games this season.
Sophomore co-team captain Immel sits atop all Falcons scorers with an 11.2 points per game average. Snyder, who has the most starts of any freshman, has the highest three-point percentage (.368) and, along with Conroe, averages 9.6 points per game. Snyder has been perfect from the free throw line in the last three games, she leads the team with a .760 free throw average. Freshman Briana Autrey, who has the best field goal percentage of any player with over 50 attempts (.417), averages 9.4 points per game. She drives to the rack with such speed and agility she often draws the foul, thereafter she shoots .678 from the line.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE AZTECS: San Diego State will try to kill its four-game losing streak while defending Viejas Arena against the Falcons. The Aztecs' shooting percentage marks are higher than Air Force's all around, as they shoot .330 from the arc, .410 from the field and .698 from the free throw line. San Diego State has four scorers averaging double-figures, all of which are led by Sophia Ramos who averages 14.8 points per game and shoots .413 from down range and .483 from the field. Mallory Adams, who averages 11.4 points per game, leads the team with 7.6 rebounds per game.
