Air Force women's basketball will tip off against the CSU Rams, Wednesday, at 7 p.m., in Clune Arena
AIR FORCE vs COLORADO STATE: The Falcons host Colorado State (7-6, 1-1 MWC), Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. MT, in Clune Arena. The Rams come to Clune Arena off a 55-66 loss to Fresno State, Jan. 5.
THE SERIES: The Falcons and Rams will be tipping off for the 60th time in program history. Colorado State is on a 13-game winning-streak against Air Force dating back to January of 2012.
-Air Force in the all-time series: 11-48
-Home: 6-23; Away: 3-24; Neutral: 2-1
-The series began in 1979, AF won the first meeting, 94-83, in overtime
-CSU has won the last 13 meetings

LAST TIME OUT: A late rally by Air Force came up shy as the Falcons fell to Utah State in the MWC home opener, 48-44, Jan. 5, in Clune Arena. Air Force's losing streak extended to six games.
Air Force freshman Riley Snyder led the way for Air Force with a 16 point performance coming off the bench. She shot a perfect 7-7 at the free throw line and 4-13 from the field. Freshman teammate Haley Jones was a significant contributor as well, collecting a personal best 12 rebounds on the game while adding six points and two steals.
Air Force team captain Venessannah Itugbu put her defensive ability on display as she tallied three blocks and a steal with six points to her credit. Sophomore guard Emily Conroe scored nine points and had the best shooting percentage for the Falcons on the game (.444).

In November, Air Force averaged over .400 from the field in its first six contests. The Falcons are now shooting .349 from the field, going over .300 on only two occasions since the beginning of December. Three-point percentages continue to sink as well, as the Falcons hit only three of 28 attempts from beyond the arc since starting MWC play.
Kaelin Immel, who averaged as much as much as 16 ppg earlier this season, has dropped to only 11.2 ppg as the team's leading scorer. Freshman Briana Autrey is the team's second leading scorer with 10.0 ppg and a .433 fg average.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE RAMS: The Rams come to Clune Arena just over .500 overall, most recently, coming off a loss to Fresno State in Fort Collins. Colorado State is led by Lore Devos and Mollie Mounsey who are the only Rams to average double-figure scoring marks, 15.0 and 12.5, respectively. Devos also leads the team in rebounds (5.9 rpg) and steals (22). Colorado State averages 57.2 points per game while allowing opponents 55.9 points on average. They shoot .394 from the field and .311 from beyond the arc.
LAST TIME THEY PLAYED: Air Force was dealt a 61-50 setback at Colorado State, Wednesday night, at Moby Arena. Emily Conroe led four Falcons in double-figures scoring with 14 points.
Air Force went toe-to-toe with Colorado State for most of the game, but a scoring drought midway through the first half was the difference. The Falcons held an 11-9 lead with 3:10 to go in the first quarter before an 18-0 Rams run. The Falcons were unable to score for eight minutes during the run. Air Force came right back with a 9-2 run to close the second quarter and made it a 29-20 CSU lead at halftime.
Air Force kept chipping away at Colorado State's lead, getting to within seven points and the ball with a little over a minute left in regulation. The Falcons were unable to get any closer, as the Rams closed the game out with the last four points.
