Women's Gymnastics Travels to Seattle Pacific for Quad Meet

Air Force women's gymnastics will take on Seattle Pacific, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater, Friday at 7 p.m. PT
THIS WEEKEND
The Falcons travel to Seattle, Washington, to take on UW-Oshkosh, UW-Whitewater and Seattle Pacific University, 7 p.m. PT/8 MT, Friday, Feb. 15, at Brougham Pavilion. The event will mark the third meeting with Seattle Pacific and the second meeting against UW-Whitewater.

SALAMONE AND STEVENSON WIN WEEKLY MPSF HONORS
Anna Salamone and Daija Stevenson won the MPSF's Specialist of the Week and Freshman of the Week awards, respectively, announced by the conference office, Tuesday (Feb. 12) afternoon. The honors mark the Falcons' third and fourth weekly awards this season.
Air Force junior Anna Salamone (Bayport, NY) posted an MPSF season-high 9.900 on the uneven bars for a second-place finish in a quad against No. 21 BYU, Seattle Pacific and Springfield (Feb. 9). She also posted a season-high 9.825 on the vault to tie for fourth. Salamone's scores helped propel Air Force to its highest season total on vault (48.900) and bars (48.500), as well as its highest overall team score (194.775). This is the sixth career MPSF weekly award for Salamone.
Air Force freshman Daija Stevenson (Atlanta, GA) posted a career-best 9.825 on the vault to finish tied for fourth in a quad against No. 21 BYU, Seattle Pacific, and Springfield (Feb. 9). Stevenson's score helped the Falcons to their highest total on vault (48.900) and overall team total of the season (194.775). This is the second MPSF freshman honor of the season for Stevenson (Jan. 15).
LAST TIME OUT
Air Force posted a season-high 194.775 team score to finish second out of four teams in the Senior Night quad, Saturday evening in Cadet West Gym, USAFA. Brigham Young University led the field with a 196.425 team score while Seattle Pacific (190.500) and Springfield College (185.775) finished third and fourth, respectively.
Sophomore uneven parallel bars specialist Anna Salamone led all Falcons with a second-place finish, setting a season-best 9.900 mark in the event. Senior teammate Mariana Murphy finished tied for fourth in the same event, also setting a season-high 9.825. Brittney Reed (9.675) and Cam Barber (9.550) set personal season-best marks in the event. The Falcons finished second in the event with a season-high 48.500 mark.
On the floor exercise, Tyler Davis led Air Force with a 9.850 mark to tie her season-best mark. Senior teammate Riley Hill finished tied for fifth, also tying her season-best mark of 9.800. Reed (9.750) and Brooke Bruder (9.725) set season-high marks while freshman Natalie Meyer tied her personal best score of 9.700. Air Force finished second on the event with a 48.825 mark.

Davis, Air Force's lone all-arounder, finished third in the field with a 38.875 mark.
The quad marked the Falcons' final home event of the season and Senior Night for five cadets. Seniors Riley Hill, Analise Howard, Emily Luers, Mariana Murphy and Brittney Reed were honored at the conclusion of the event.
