LAST GAME:
Air Force dropped a 73-60 Mountain West contest to the San Jose State Spartans, Saturday afternoon (Feb. 23), at the Event Center at San Jose State University.
Four Falcons had double-figure scoring marks but it was turnovers and the absence of the Falcons' bench that proved to be the difference. The Falcons turned the ball over 26 times, allowing San Jose state to score 29 points off of turnovers. The Spartans' bench combined for 20 points while Air Force's was scoreless.
Sophomore co-team captain Kaelin Immel led the Falcons with a 16 point performance, adding five rebounds and five assists to her stat line. She has had 12 double-figure scoring performances in 15 league games.
Freshman guard Haley Jones had a career night, dropping a personal-best 15 points while collecting a game-high nine rebounds. She hit five-of-six attempts from the field and five-of-seven from the free throw line. Freshman teammate Riley Snyder scored 13 points for her first double-figure scoring performance since her ankle injury, Feb. 2.
Sophomore guard Emily Conore had another solid performance, scoring 14 points and snagging five boards for her fourth-straight double-figure scoring performance. Freshman point guard Briana Autrey registered a team-high six assists and a buzzer-beater bucket.

The Falcons travel to Reno, Nevada to take on the Nevada Wolf Pack at 6:30 p.m. PT, Monday, Mar. 4, at the Lawlor Events Center. Air Force will play for a regular-season sweep of Nevada following a 79-74 overtime win at USAFA on January 19.
AIR FORCE AT A GLANCE:
Three Falcons have three double-figure scoring averages in conference play, led by Kaelin Immel, who registered a career-high 30-point game in the win against San Jose State (Jan. 26). Immel, who averages 14.3 points per game in MWC play, has 17 double-figure scoring performances this year. She shoots .325 from deep and .364 from the field.
Emily Conroe, a 5-10 sophomore guard, has stepped up as the team's leading rebounder (6.0 rpg/ 6.5 rpg in MWC), is 10th in the Mountain West in boards, since losing Kassady Huffman to a knee injury. Not only is she one of the lead rebounding guards in the conference, she is tied for fourth in the MWC with 1.8 steals per game. Conroe has proven her utility on both sides of the ball with her defensive accolades and 15 double-figure scoring performances highlighted by a 22-point showing in Air Force's first win over Colorado State in 13 games. She led the Falcons in scoring in the two games of the last three games, scoring a game-high 19 points and nine rebounds at Utah State, coming up just one board short of her third double-double performance this season.
A trio of freshmen help make up the Falcons' top-five leading scorers. Riley Snyder, a six-foot forward, averages 11.0 points per game in league play this season and has 12 double-figure scoring marks highlighted by two 20-point games. Freshman Briana Autrey has the squad's second-highest field goal shooting percentage (.408), but is still learning how to manage the ball at the collegiate level, as she turns the ball over four-and-a-half times per game. Autrey's offensive productivity outshines her turnovers as she is one-of-two players to have three 20-point performances this season, averaging 9.5 points per game. Haley Jones, a six-foot guard, has become a force for the Falcons in MWC play, averaging 8.0 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game in league play.

WYOMING'S LAST GAME:
The Cowgirls had a look in the final seconds to send the game to overtime, but the shot hit the rim and bounced out, halting Wyoming's winning streak at nine games. Fresno State (18-9, 11-5 MW) used a 7-0 run late in the fourth quarter to take the lead for good, and Wyoming's (18-6, 11-4 MW) comeback attempt fell just short in the 66-64 loss.
The Cowgirls were led by seniors Marta Gomez and Bailee Cotton, who scored 20 and 19 points, respectively. It is the eighth 20-point game for Gomez this season, while Cotton collected a team-high seven rebounds to go along with two steals and a block. It is the fourth game in a row with multiple steals for the Denver native.
Freshman Quinn Weidemann scored nine points – all from behind the three point line – off the bench, while junior Taylor Rusk had six points, five assists and a pair of steals. Rusk now has seven games this season with at least five assists.
The Cowgirls shot 39.2 percent (20-of-51) from the field, 28.6 percent (6-of-21) from three and 85.7 percent (18-of-21) from the free throw line. Wyoming had 17 assists and 16 turnovers on the night. This is just the sixth game this season the Cowgirls shot below 40.0 percent from the field.
