Air Force women's gymnastics begins action at 2 p.m. MT in Cadet West Gym

WHAT: PINK MEET
The Pink Meet will also serve as Colorado Club Day where club gymnasts 8th grade and under will have the chance to participate in the march-out as well as a chance to compete in a handstand contest as the conclusion of the meet. Young gymnasts wishing to take part in the march out should arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. All fans are encouraged to wear pink.

The Falcons hit the road for dual action with Texas Woman's University on Sunday, February 23rd, in Kitty Magee Arena, Denton, Texas. The Falcons and Pioneers will begin action at 2 p.m. CT. TWU boasts a season-high team score of 195.325 and has scored 195+ in their last two meets.
TOP SCORES
With two meets in the record books, Tyler Davis and Anna Salamone have the highest individual mark of the season, scoring 9.925 on the floor exercise and uneven bars, respectively. Freshman Briona Carswell has the highest score on the balance beam, scoring a 9.900 last weekend. Salamone also has the top score on the vault with a 9.850. Davis, the Falcons' primary all-around gymnast, has scored as high as 39.075 this season. Unfortunately, Davis sustained a season-ending injury prior to last weekend's meet.
As a squad, the Falcons posted their highest event score on the floor exercise (48.825). The best team score of the season was registered in a tri-meet with No. 5 Denver and Ball State on Feb. 2. (193.825).
RTN RANKINGS
Anna Salamone is in a two-way tie for No. 57 on the uneven bars, up 33 spots from last week's ranking of No. 90. Air Force remains at No. 57 in the team rankings. San Jose State has the highest team-rank in the MPSF at No. 46. Tyler Davis is at No. 27 on the floor exercise (9.888 avg) but is not expected to compete for the rest of the season.
SALAMONE WINS SECOND MPSF WEEKLY AWARD
Salamone was selected as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's Specialist of the Week, for achievements Feb.4-11, announced by the conference office. Salamone, a native of Bayport, New York, posted a 9.925 on the uneven parallel bars, finishing in first place in a tri-meet with Seattle Pacific and Illinois State on Saturday (Feb. 8). Salamone's score helped the Falcons to a season high 48.500 in the event, it was her second 9.9+ this season. The senior team captain also led the Falcons on the vault where she scored a 9.800 for a second-place finish, helping the Falcons to a second-place finish in the event. The award marks her second of the season and ninth of her career.
SALAMONE NOMINATED FOR AAI AWARD
Senior team captain Anna Salamone was named a nominee for the AAI Award, presented to the nation's outstanding senior. Salamone is one of 32 athletes on the nominee list. She has been one of Air Force's most significant contributors throughout her career. She is the only representatives from the MPSF.

San Jose State leads the MPSF with an average score of 193.800 and a high score of 194.675. The Falcons are third of six teams with their current average of 192.145.
