A LOOK AROUND THE NATION
Four Falcons are ranked in the top 30 of the national indoor standings this week following strong performances at the Air Force Invitational. ALUMNI ALERT
Former Falcon and current ultra-runner Jim Walmsley (Class of 2012) shattered the American 100km record on Jan. 23, as he recorded a time of 6:09:26 at the Project Carbon X2 in Arizona. Averaging a 5:57 mile for 62 miles, Walmsley knocked nearly 18 minutes off of the previous American record and missed the world record by just 12 seconds.
COMING UP
While members of the distance team kick off the spring cross country season on Monday (Feb. 1) in Las Vegas, the track and field team is back in action next Friday (Feb. 5), when it heads to Laramie for the Wyoming Power Meet.
