
Women's Gymnastics Travels to Centenary for Triangular

The Falcons travel to Shreveport, Louisiana, to compete in tri-meet action at Centenary College with Texas Woman's University, Sunday (Feb. 7). Action in the Gold Dome is slated for 4 p.m. CT.
UP NEXT
Air Force heads to St. Charles, Missouri, to compete in the Gymquarters Invitational alongside Lindenwood, Illinois State, Southeast Missouri, Ball State and Eastern Michigan. Action is slated to start at 6 p.m. CT in the St. Charles Family Arena.
LAST TIME OUT
Air Force dropped a head-to-head meet at No. 8 Cal, 195.750-188.950, Saturday afternoon at the Haas Pavilion. Air Force junior Daija Stevenson was Air Force's lone all-around competitor, scoring a 37.800 to finish fourth in the field and a season-best 9.750 to place sixth on the vault.
Sophomore balance beam specialist Briona Carswell scored a 9.750 to finish fourth in the event. Carswell has led Air Force on the beam in every meet this season. Air Force struggled to find their rhythm against the perennial powerhouse, scoring below season averages.
Kyana George had a dominant meet as the senior won the all-around competition with a score of 39.375. She claimed individual titles on the floor, beam and vault. George had a 9.825 on vault, a 9.800 on bars before finishing with 9.875 scores on both the beam and floor.
AIR FORCE SWEEPS MPSF HONORS... AGAIN
Air Force's Briona Carswell and Daija Stevenson were announced the MPSF Specialist of the Week and Gymnast of the Week, respectively, for competition over the weekend. The Women's gymnastics team has swept the MPSF weekly awards for the third straight week.
CARSWELL IS CONSISTENT
Sophomore balance beam standout Briona Carswell has led the Falcons on the beam in all three meets this season. She posted a season-high 9.825 at No. 7 Denver. She has scored a 9.750 or more in every meet so far this season.
