
Women's Gymnastics Travels to Arizona for Tri-Meet

THIS WEEK
Air Force travels to Tucson, Arizona, to compete in a tri-meet with Arizona and Southern Utah. Action is slated for 1 p.m. MT in the McKale Center. The Falcons have competed against both Arizona and SUU once this season, falling to the Thunderbirds, 195.800-190.450, and coming up short against Arizona, 194.350-193.350.
LAST TIME OUT
Air Force scored a 192.200, finishing fourth at a quad meet hosted by Eastern Michigan with Bowling Green and Iowa State, Sunday afternoon in EMU's Convocation center. Despite a slow start on the bars, a motivated Air Force team carried on to score two season-best team scores.

AIR FORCE FLIES HIGH IN MPSF OPENER
Air Force was victorious in a dual meet with MPSF opponent, San Jose State, outscoring the Spartans, 193.350-193.100, Friday evening Cadet West Gym at the United States Air Force Academy. Heidi Sand and Briona Carswell led the Falcons with first-place finishes on the vault and beam, respectively.

CARSWELL CLAIMS ANOTHER MPSF HONOR
Air Force sophomore Briona Carswell (Phoenix, AZ) tied the 12th-best balance beam routine in MPSF history with a first-place 9.90, as the Falcons matched their season-high with a winning 193.350 at home against San Jose State (Mar. 5). Carswell produced the MPSF's first 9.90 score in any event in 2021. She then recorded a 9.800 on beam to share sixth-place in the quad meet at Eastern Michigan (Mar. 7). This is the fourth career MPSF weekly award for Carswell.
