Following a come-from-behind win against San Jose State, Friday evening, the Falcons hustle to pack their bags for a quick-turn to Ypsilanti, Michigan, for quad action at Eastern Michigan with Bowling Green and Iowa State on March 7. Action is slated for 1 p.m. ET/11 a.m. MT, in EMU's Convocation Center.
AIR FORCE FLIES HIGH IN MPSF OPENER
Air Force was victorious in a dual meet with MPSF opponent, San Jose State, outscoring the Spartans, 193.350-193.100, Friday evening Cadet West Gym at the United States Air Force Academy. Heidi Sand and Briona Carswell led the Falcons with first-place finishes on the vault and beam, respectively.

Air Force's Daija Stevenson and Briona Carswell have been tabbed the MPSF Gymnast and Specialist of the Week, respectively, for achievements over the weekend.
Stevenson (Atlanta, GA) scored a 38.850 for a first-place all-around in the home-opening tri-meet with Arizona and Texas Woman's University (Feb. 28). Stevenson's efforts helped the team score a season-best 193.350. Her 9.800 on the floor was high enough for a three-way tie for third, helping Air Force to a season-best 48.750 in the event. This is the eighth career MPSF weekly award for Stevenson, including six-straight as gymnast of the week.
Carswell (Phoenix, AZ) scored an impressive 9.850 for a first-place finish on the balance beam in the home opening tri-meet with Arizona and Texas Woman's University (Feb. 28). The score equals her season-best mark. Carswell's efforts helped Air Force to a season-high 193.350. This is the third career MPSF weekly award for Carswell.
