Air Force will face the top-ranked Sooners at 7:00 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, Jan. 22.
The 13th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team returns to action this weekend, when it travels to Norman, Okla., for a dual meet against top-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday, Jan. 22.
SCOUTING THE SOONERS
Following its season-opening 407.700 score at the Rocky Mountain Open, Oklahoma leads the NCAA after the first full week of the 2022 season. The Sooners also hold the top event scores on the pommel horse (66.400), vault (71.050) and high bar (67.750), while Fuzzy Benas is the individual NCAA leader in the still rings (14.200) and all-around (83.800).
LAST TIME OUT
A short-handed Air Force team finished fifth (323.250) at the annual Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 15. With several gymnasts having been in COVID protocol, the men were unable to field a full five-man lineup in three of the six events. Garrett Braunton registered the Falcons' top finish, as he placed fifth on the still rings with a career-high score of 13.750.
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE FALCONS
Air Force is off from competition until Feb. 12, when it travels to Dallas, Texas, to face Army and Navy at the annual All-Academy Championships.
