Last Weekend
Meet One (vs. San Jose State, March 4)
-For only the fifth-time since the program's inception, Air Force eclipsed the 195-point threshold, posting a team total of 195.400 on Friday against San Jose State.
-In spite of San Jose State taking the dual after producing a 196.325 score of its own, Air Force still managed its third-highest team total since 2013. The Falcons scored no less than 48.900 in the four events.
-Ayla McKean was Air Force's highest finisher in the all-around, collecting a 39.050. McKean's highlights included a share of third-place in the floor exercise (9.800) and a sixth-place finish in the vault (9.725).
-Genevieve Sabado gave Air Force one of its higher individual placements, as her 9.850 beam score was good for a share of second. Sabado's all-around score wound up being 38.950.
-The Falcons have seen their bars score improve over each of the last three weeks, including Friday, as Air Force's lineup crafted a season-best 49.025.
-Friday becomes only the third occasion in program history the Falcons have surpassed 49 points on the bars.
-Amber Boll led the Falcons in the event, as her 9.850 score following her uneven bars routine was good for a second-place tie.
-Grace Nelson (9.825), Grace Bardes (9.800), and Velandra Brochi (9.775) all produced new season-bests as well.
-Brochi's 38.975 all-around score was also the highest total she's managed thus far in her freshman season.
-The girls were amazing tonight," said head coach Jennifer Green. "They owned their commitments and we didn't worry about things we couldn't control. It's so fun to see them believe in themselves and take command of each event. We couldn't be prouder. Start to finish, they did their job. We aren't done yet!"
Meet Two (at TWU Quad, March 6)
-Air Force placed third out of the four teams at the Texas Women's University Quad meet on Sunday, though only two days after managing a season-best score of 195.400, the Falcons recorded a 195.700 team score on Sunday, the second-highest team total of the past 10 years.
-Genevieve Sabado (39.225), Ayla McKean (39.150), and Velandra Brochi (39.000) all posted new career-highs in regards to their all-around totals, as the trio placed second, third and fourth, respectively.
-Air Force began the meet on the floor exercise, garnering a 48.925.
-Cameo Stapleton led the Falcons with a 9.825, placing 12th.
-The Falcons then moved to the vault, as the team put together a 48.800 team total in the event. -McKean's 9.800 gave her a share of ninth place.
Sabado picks up third FOTW honor
-Following an outstanding two-meet weekend, Genevieve Sabado was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Freshman of the Week.
-Sabado recorded a 9.85 on the balance beam, good for a share of second-place against No. 25 San Jose State (Mar. 4).
-She went 38.950 all-around in that meet, helping Air Force surpass 49 in two events---on bars for the third time in team history (49.025), as well as on beam (49.050).
-Two days later in a quad at Texas Woman's, with No. 2 Oklahoma and SE Missouri, Air Force beat its season-best with a top-30 all-time MPSF score of 195.700.
-Sabado totaled a second-place 39.225 all-around, led by another 9.85 on beam, as the beam squad compiled another 49.050.
-Thus far in her freshman season, this is already Sabado's third Freshman of the Week award.
Sabado is a Star
-Freshman Genevieve Sabado leads all Falcon gymnasts with a 38.836 average all-around score.
-Sabado owns Air Force's highest beam score of 2022 (9.900), and currently averages team-highs on the floor (9.775) and the beam (9.736).
-Sabado has already received three MPSF Freshman of the Week honors in her debut season.

-Freshman Ayla McKean has been a steady fixture in the AF lineup, averaging a 38.802 average all-around total.
-McKean owns the Falcons highest vault score (9.825) and vault average (9.736) among AF gymnasts.
-The freshman's 9.759 average bars score is also tops on the team.
-Her 9.761 average floor exercise score is just behind Sabado for second among AF gymnasts.
-McKean is averaging a 9.725 score on the beam over her last three events.

-Natalie Meyer has given Air Force a breath of consistency over the last three weeks, as she has averaged a 9.74 in the event over her last four appearances.
