
Air Force Women’s Tennis Welcomes Class of 2026

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's tennis welcomes two freshman that comprise the class of 2026, announced today by head coach Kim Gidley. The duo recently completed basic cadet training (BCT) and join the team for the 2022-23 season.
Abby Cotuna and Arianna Van Houweling comprise the freshman class.
"I am excited to have both Abby and Arianna join our Falcon tennis family," head coach Kim Gidley said. "Both of Abby and Arianna will add tremendous depth to both our singles and doubles lineups and I can't wait for them to represent the Air Force Academy on and off the court."

Abby Cotuna - Charleston, SC (SC Connections Academy)
Five-star recruit and had a high ranking of #32 on tennis recruiting … earned three varsity letters in tennis … undefeated in singles as a junior and helped team to AAA State Championship … undefeated as a sophomore earning all-state … 27-3 in singles as a freshman, earning all-state and was a AAAA tennis player of the year nominee … graduated with high honors … high school coach was Joe Harnage … played club tennis for Rise Tennis Academy and was coached by Jonathan Stokke.
Arianna Van Houweling - Las Vegas, NV (Faith Lutheran)
Tennis recruiting national ranking of #121, USTA ranking of #129 and a four-star recruit … earned four varsity letters in tennis … 144-19 record at Faith Lutheran, earning team MVP honors all four years … two-time team captain … state runner-up in singles in 2021 and third in 2019 … regional runner-up in singles in 2019 … Star Honor Roll (2x) and Scholar Honor Roll as a senior … high school coach was Jeff Foley … also competed for the Darling Tennis Center and was coached by Ytai Abougzir.
