Air Force to Host Rocky Mountain Open

Air Force welcomes No. 2 Oklahoma, Nebraska, and GymACT's Rocky Mountain Pride to Cadet Gymnasium for the annual Rocky Mountain Open. The event marks a rematch between the Falcons and Sooners and serves as the season opener for the Huskers. Nebraska was ranked third in the Big Ten preseason polls.
A live stream will be provided on the MPSF's new lives treaming platform, https://www.overnght.com/. Fans are required to subscribe to the service to view MPSF men's gymnastics events.
Last weekend, Air Force posted a 382.750 in the season opener, falling behind host Oklahoma with 413.600. Patrick Hoopes and Erich Upton claimed first place in the pommel horse and all-around, respectively. The Falcons have the fourth highest team score in the nation on the pommel in week two.
Oklahoma junior Emre Dodanli won three event titles in leading Oklahoma to a season-opening win over Air Force and was named the MPSF Specialist of the Week. Dodanli won all three events in which he competed, scoring higher than 14 in all of them, to lead the Sooners to a 413.600 team total. The junior from Milton, Ontario, posted the highest score of the meet with his 14.750 on floor exercise, then followed with a 14.700 on vault and a 14.050 on the high bar in OU's final event.
Following the RMO, Air Force will a two-week break before heading to the All-Academy Championships to compete against Army and Navy, February 10. Action will take place in Frisco, Texas.
