
Falcons Split for Weekend Competitions

The Air Force track and field team splits for a pair of competitions over the Jan. 31-Feb. 1 weekend. The majority of the Falcons' sprinters and field event athletes will travel to Albuquerque to take on some of the nation's elite at the UNM Team Open, while a large contingent of the team's distance squad will head to Boulder for the Colorado Invitational.

MEET INFORMATION
The New Mexico Team Open will be held at the ABQ Convention Center in downtown Albuquerque – site of the upcoming MW Indoor Championships – over the Jan. 31-Feb. 1 weekend. A complete schedule of events is listed below. Tickets can be purchased for $5 each day. Live results will be available via Record Timing, while the meet will be broadcast live on FloTrack (direct links to stats, video and tickets are available on the Falcons' schedule page).
WHO'S WHO
The UNM Team Open is slated to feature nearly 30 teams, including members of the nation's top-ranked men's team (Texas A&M). The Aggie women, who are also ranked among the Top 10 in the initial USTFCCCA rankings of the 2025 season (seventh), are part of a Division I lineup that includes Air Force, Alabama (No. 6 women), Arizona State (No. 15 men), California (No. 19), Colorado State, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, New Mexico, Stanford (No. 10 women), Texas State, UTEP, Washington State, Weber State, and Wyoming.

The Colorado Invitational will be held at the CU Indoor Practice Facility on the east side of Folsom Field. All six field events will take place on Friday, while the running events will take place on Saturday (a tentative schedule of events is listed below). Admission is free on Friday, while tickets for Saturday can be purchased online at CUBuffs.com and range from $8.50 for youth to $11.50 for adults. Only water is allowed inside the IPF and spectators must adhere to Colorado's "Clear Bag Policy". Live results will be available via Rapid Results (direct links to stats and tickets are available on the Falcons' schedule page).

AIR FORCE IN THE RANKINGS
Backed by a pair of Top 15 placements from Texas Tanner, two Falcons are listed among the NCAA Top 20 after the Jan. 24-25 weekend of competition. Tanner is ranked No. 7 in the shot put (63'7") and No. 14 in the weight throw (73'0½") following his record-setting day at the Ted Nelson Invitational, while Morgan Glaser is listed No. 17 in the high jump after her season-opening clearance of 5'11¼" at the Wyoming Power Meet.
SQUAD GOALS
With a combined time of 1:25.84, the men's 200-meter quartet of Javin Bostic, Asher Jenkins, Jettason Rose and James Warmbrod IV hold a top-25 ranking in the first edition of the USTFCCCA #EventSquad rankings – which are determined by the cumulative season-best marks from a team's top-four athletes in the national descending order list. The men's weight throw lineup of Texas Tanner, Cooper Stroka, Massimo Grisotto and Arden Jenkins are also in the top 25, standing 24th with a combined distance of 236'8".
