ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Air Force captured a pair of medals on Friday (Feb. 28) afternoon, as the track and field team continued action at the Mountain West Indoor Championships in Albuquerque. Junior Texas Tanner finished second in the weight throw, while freshman Brayden Richards earned a third-place finish at the conclusion of his first conference heptathlon.
Tanner recorded a throw of 23.35 meters (76'7¼") – a mark just shy of his own Academy Record – to take second in the first field final of the championships and lead Air Force to two of the top-four finishes, as senior Cooper Stroka added a fourth-place throw of 20.06 meters (65'9").
