
Women’s Tennis Closes Non-Conference Hosting St. Thomas

Air Force Women's Tennis gets one final tune up leading into Mountain West play, as the Falcons prepare to host St. Thomas. First serve is set for 10:30 a.m. MT in Cadet East Gym.

Installation Access Requirements for Sunday's Match:
The U.S. Air Force Academy processes to access the installation continue to affect athletic events. While the installation remains open, if you do not have a DoD ID card you will need to obtain a pass to enter the base. Ticket holders wishing to attend can request a base pass by using the links below for each game. Once you register, you will receive a message with a QR code on your phone to present at the gate when entering the Academy. Fans will present game tickets when entering each venue. All ticketed/credentialed attendees will need to enter through the North Gate only to get to the Cadet Field House.

The 5-7 Falcons, intent on building momentum heading into conference play, seek back-to-back wins on their home court after downing Omaha, 6-1, on March 1. Air Force, after a thrilling open to 2025 which included a 3-1 start, wire-to-wire matches with Colorado and Gonzaga and an explosive shutout victory at Eastern Washington, endured a five-match skid and look to continue trending in the right direction after last week's home win.
Air Force combines for a 33-26 (.559) record in singles and 18-12 (.600) in doubles play. The Falcons' go-to duos on lines one and two (Nadia Kojonroj/Arianna Van Houweling, Alexis Odom/Maya Michalski) lead the way in doubles wins at 5-3 and 6-3, respectively; In singles, Kojonroj (7-2), Van Houweling (6-3), Sofia Mavor (6-3) and Shivaani Selvan (5-3) lead the pack.

The Falcons took down Omaha, 6-1 on March 1 in Cadet East Gym, getting back on track and snapping a five-match skid.
Air Force opened the morning taking its seventh doubles point of the season while improving to 5-0 at home in doubles play as a team. The Falcons clinched doubles off wins on lines two (Arianna Van Houweling/Shivaani Selvan vs. Paula Arcarons/Zoe Adkins) and one (Alexis Odom/Maya Michalski vs. Katelyn Kock/Nina Weise) in order. Selvan/Van Houweling, competing together for just the second time this season, earned a 6-2 victory, winning four-straight games on the way to a commanding finish and improve to 2-0; Odom/Michalski took a 3-0 lead before giving up a game and then won three-straight to secure a 6-1 set win and clinch doubles for the Falcons.
On court three, sophomore Nadia Kojonroj and Sofia Mavor took four consecutive games to gain a 5-1 lead and threaten a win, but the match was abandoned due to the Falcons' clinch.
In singles, Air Force clinched the match earning wins on lines two (Kojonroj vs. Arcarons), one (Odom vs. Adkins) and three (Van Houweling vs. Khayli Buckels) in order; Kojonroj picked up four-straight game wins on the way to a 6-2 win in her opening set against Arcarons, then secured a straight-set victory with a 7-5 win in the second, improving to a team-best 7-2 in dual singles play. Odom, down 3-1 in her first set with Adkins, took five-straight wins to claim a 6-3 start, followed by a 7-5 closeout to earn her fifth singles win of the season. Van Houweling took the first set on a 5-3 deuce point then fell 6-4 in the second before shutting out Buckels 6-0 in the third set, clinching the match for Air Force.
Air Force and Omaha played on; on court four, freshman Maya Michalski fell in a three-set, 6-7, 6-2, 3-6 battle with Nina Weise, earning Omaha its lone point of the day. Mavor, facing Omaha's Katelynn Kock, won a 7-3 tiebreak in the opening set, then closed on a 6-4 second set to earn back-to-back singles victories; Selvan split a pair of 6-2 sets against Maverick Summer Shannon, before escaping with a 13-11 win in a super tiebreak to secure the Falcons' sixth point of the day.
