Women Impact Record Book at Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. – Five members of the women's track team impacted the Air Force Record Book on Thursday (April 17), during the second day of action at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa. Headlined by the fifth-fastest 5000-meter time in program history from junior India Jones, the group tallied two top-10 and three top-15 all-time marks on the Cougar Stadium track.
Jones, competing in the invitational section of the 5000-meter run, clocked a time of 16:13.50 to finish 10th in the meet and move into fifth on the program's all-time standings. The sophomore duo of Anna Harden and Ella Johnson also improved their placement in the Air Force Record Book on Friday. Harden, finishing seventh in her section, posted a time of 16:27.36 to improve her own No. 11 all-time mark, while Johnson dropped her time down to 16:29.47 to lower her No. 12 spot on the all-time list.
Air Force also made a pair of improvements to the record book in the 800-meter run, as sophomores Camryn Bodine and Rachel Fereday had career-best trips around the track. Bodine registered the ninth-fastest time in Air Force history following a 2:10.55 finish, while Fereday clocked int at 2:11.14 to move into No. 13 on the program's all-time standings.
On the men's side, Jonah Hochstetler won an 800-meter event that featured 139 runners after clocking a career-best time of 1:50.91 – a mark that moved the sophomore up to No. 19 on the program's all-time standings.
The Falcons close out action at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Friday, April 18, while the rest of the squad will be in Long Beach to kick off the Beach Invitational.
