
Women's Gymnastics Slated to Compete in USAG Collegiate Nationals Over the Weekend

USA GYMNASTICS COLLEGIATE NATIONALS
This weekend, April 10 and 11, the Falcons return to the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals, hosted by Southeast Missouri State University at the Show Me Center. The Falcons return to the event with five USA Gymnastics All-Americans boasting 15 AA accolades.
The Falcons will be competing alongside Centenary, Lindenwood, Southeast Missouri and Texas Woman's University.
At the 2019 USAG Collegiate Championships, the Air Force women's gymnastics team combined for 194.575 to finish fourth in the Team Finals, at the University of Bridgeport. The Lindenwood University Lions took the team title with a 196.375 mark while the University of Illinois-Chicago finished second (196.025) and host University of Bridgeport finished third (195.925).
Individually, Air Force concluded action the 2019 USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals with five All-Americans earning 11 accolades, and a pair of individual national champions in Anna Salamone and Tyler Davis.
Davis, the Falcons' active leader in USAG AA accolades (seven times), is in question to compete due to an injury sustained last season.
LAST TIME OUT
Air Force posted a season-high 193.900 team score on Senior Day, placing second behind San Jose State's 194.475, Saturday afternoon in Cadet West Gym. The Falcons' Daija Stevenson placed first in the all-around with a career-best 39.300. Stevenson and teammate Heidi Sand both won first place finishes for Air Force.
