FRISCO, Texas – Air Force outscored service academy rivals Army and Navy to win the title for the first time since 2018 at the 2023 All-Academy meet, hosted at The Ford Center, Saturday evening. The Falcons posted their third-best team score of the season, 396.550, to rise above Navy (393.000) and Army (389.150).
The Falcons have placed first in action for the second week in a row, besting California and Army last week (Feb. 11) on senior day in Cadet West Gym at the Academy. The pommel horse and parallel bars teams propelled Air Force to a strong lead which was held on to the finish of the what became the most competitive All-Academy event to date.
"Coach Sergey Resnick's coaching in the pommel in p-bar led us to victory," head coach Josh Loeser said. "This was an extremely competitive All-Academy event, all three service academies are doing well and this hasn't been the case before. It's a good good sign of growth and progression, not only for Air Force, but all service academies in men's gymnastics.
