Falcons Split for Meets in Texas and California

The Air Force track and field team travels to Texas and California this weekend for four meets. The majority of the team heads to the Lone Star State for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin (March 27-30) and the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos (March 28-30), while members of the distance squad head to the Bay Area for the Mike Fanelli Track Classic (March 29) and Stanford Invitational (March 29-30).
MEET INFORMATION – TEXAS RELAYS
Air Force's week in Texas gets underway on Wednesday, March 28, when Braeden Holcombe kicks off the decathlon at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, which will take place at Mike A Myers Track and Soccer Stadium. The Falcons will continue competition throughout the remaining three days of competition (March 28-30). The meet will be streamed live on the Longhorn Network, while live results will also be available. Tickets and parking are available at TexasSports.com and a clear bag policy will be in effect for all spectators.
MEET INFORMATION – BOBCAT INVITATIONAL
The Bobcat Invitational, held on March 28-30, will take place at the Texas State Track and Field Complex (1100 Aquarena Springs Dr.) in San Marcos. Tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for seniors (65+) and children (-12), while parking passes for Thursday and Friday can be purchased at Pay-to-Park stations or via parking.txst.edu. The meet will not be streamed, but live results will be available via AdkinsTrak.com

The 16 Falcons heading to California will split their time between Chabot College and Stanford, with the former hosting the Mike Fanelli Track Classic and the latter hosting the famed Stanford Invitational. Both meets will be held on March 29-30, although the Falcons will only be competing at the Classic on March 29. Admission is free for the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, while the $10 tickets for the Stanford Invitational can be purchased at GoStanford.com. Both meets will be streamed lived on FloTrack, while Red Cap Timing will keep results for the Mike Fanelli Track Classic and Record Timing will maintain timing for the Stanford Invitational.

Twelve Falcons – Kayla Beach (San Antonio), Mitchell Blakeslee (The Woodlands), Brooke Coleman (Missouri City), Darek Hackett (Houston), Kasarah Hernandez (Round Rock), Philip Hundl (El Campo), Seth Meador (Denton), Emma Opalacz (Cypress), Robert Postell (Cypress), Taylor Rioux (Austin), Jalan Rivers (Humble) and Tanner Woodring (Lolita) – will head home to Texas for this weekend's meets, while three others – Zach Ayers (Davis), Carly Foster (Granite Bay), Josh Razo (Walnut) – will be racing in their home state of California.
AIR FORCE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Air Force has two men ranked among the nation's Top 25, as Texas Tanner is ranked at No. 13 in the hammer throw (219'3") and Javin Bostic is listed at No. 24 in the 200-meter dash (20.67).

After a busy weekend, the Falcons regroup in Colorado next week (April 5-6) for the CU Invitational.
