Cheerleading Camps:
Thank you for considering the Air Force Sports Camp for your summer Cheerleading Camp. We are very excited about the upcoming camp and would love to see you here. Our goal is to provide individual instruction that is both challenging and rewarding for the campers. Primary attention will focus on cheers and chants, cheer motions, jumps, and dance. In addition, we will work on the basics of stunting, beginning tumbling and talk about how as cheerleaders we are leaders in our school and community.
We want the campers to enjoy their time with us and will take breaks for discussion topics, games and socializing. The instructional staff strongly believes that FUN is an important ingredient of the camp. This year we will run 2 sessions of camp for Cheerleaders. Session 1 will be entirely devoted for young girls 6-12 and they will attend in the Mornings (8:30am - 12:00pm). Camp will be all week -- Monday through Friday for the Morning session (commuters only-no boarders during Session 1).
Session 2 - High School/College Prep Camp will be an all-day camp and will run from 8:30am until 4:00pm for girls and boys, ages 12-18. Most of the camp day will be spent outside on our practice fields and sunscreen is highly encouraged. The last day in Session 2 will be a half day from 8:30am - 12:00pm. By the end of the sessions, everyone is exhausted, but somehow they find the energy to perform for the parents and friends. This performance is the finale of our camp and will showcase a portion of what was taught throughout the week.
We ask campers to wear comfortable shorts and t-shirts to class. Cheer shoes are recommended, but regular tennis shoes will suffice if cheer shoes are not available. We have rapid weather changes here at the Academy. However, we try to move the classes outside whenever possible. Campers are requested to bring sunscreen lotion to protect against sunburn for all outdoor activities.
Upon checking into Cheer camp, campers will receive a schedule for the week that identifies the meeting place for each day's class as well as a detailed breakout for how the day will be spent.
We know there are many camps for you to choose from, and we are honored that you are considering ours. We hope to see you this summer at AF Cheer or Dance camp.
Go Falcons!
